The game goes on

IT CAUSED one of the biggest roars of the day, but when goal umpire Paul Bast went down, at the seven-minute mark of the first quarter in the reserves’ grand final between NARRE WARREN and PAKENHAM… he actually did some serious damage. Bast will have MRI scans later this week, but all indications are he has ruptured the ACL in his left knee. Luckily, we had a smiling replacement in Chris Osborne – who filled in for the stretchered off Bast – after just completing his duties in the under-19s. 127825 127826 Pictures: DAVID NAGEL
