THE general manager of one of Cranbourne’s leading entertainment facilities has said that redevelopments will turn it into a “total destination venue”.
Matthew McBain from Trios Cranbourne said he is eagerly anticipating the completion of the redevelopment, which is scheduled to be done by mid-October this year.
He said the expansions would turn Trios into “an overall package”.
“We’re expanding the entire venue to introduce a new trackside sports bar and TAB,” he said.
“There will be a pretty big outdoor decking overlooking the racing centre as well.”
Mr McBain said these revamps had been a long time coming.
“The venue is 14 years old,” he said.
“It’s time for a pretty big redevelopment.”
The expansions, which got underway four years ago, will also see the inclusion of a function facility that will hold up to 130 people for any event.
Ms McBain said the key focus was to create a facility that was suitable for anybody, and meet the needs of the area’s growing population.
“There is something on offer for everybody,” he said.
“We are focused on supporting the community that supports us.”
Families will also be able to dine at the complex, with a bistro area and a playground for children.
Mr McBain said the renovations formed part of a major redevelopment to the Cranbourne Racing Centre.
“We are owned by three racing codes based at Cranbourne,” he said.
“They’re improving the overall experience and this is part of that one facet.”
