Home invasion: vicious assault

TWO men attacked another with garden tools in his house this week.
Police said two men, of Sudanese appearance, forced their way into a house in Riverview Crescent, Eumemmerring about 4am on Monday.
The men set upon a man inside the house, aged in his late forties, with garden tools, police said.
Police attended and were involved in a foot pursuit with the men and managed to apprehend one of them, who is now assisting police with their inquiries.
The other man is at large.
The victim was taken to the Dandenong Hospital to be treated for lacerations to his body.
