Get to know the neighbours

LEND Lease gave a warm welcome to the newest residents of its Cranbourne estate last month.
The developer held the first residents’ welcome celebration on Sunday 3 August for the new residents of the Mayfield estate.
Lend Lease’s Victorian general manager Neil O’Connor said the event attracted a great deal of community support and was hosted by the local YMCA.
Residents shared and enjoyed arts and crafts, face painting and making their own lunch at a specially set up pizza station.
“This event was an opportunity for the first residents in the community to get to know their neighbours in a friendly and welcoming environment,” Mr O’Connor said.
“It was great to see so many of them here today.”
Upon completion, Mayfield will be home to about 1300 residents and include a local sports precinct, maternal health care facilities and a primary school.
The estate will also have a unique children’s nature garden designed around interactive and sensory learning that will be unlike any other in the area.
