A GROUP of Marnebek School students got arty and crafty at Bunnings this month.
The school took a group of students to Cranbourne Bunnings on Tuesday 5 August to learn some handy tips and make their own toy cars with local staff.
Teacher Chitra Vig said the students had a great time making the toys, which tied in with what they had been learning about this term.
“We were doing an inquiry unit on toys,” she said.
“We were learning all about toys – how they are made, how they move, the history behind them and comparing old toys to new toys.
“This was a great opportunity Bunnings offered us, so we were thrilled to be involved.
“The students loved it and found the whole experience enjoyable.”
