CRANBOURNE Cricket Club is building a great pathway to the future for junior cricketers by becoming the first club in the DDCA to field four turf sides this summer.
The renovation of oval 3 to turf will allow the club to introduce more youngsters to the most traditional form of the game.
The fourth turf side coincides with the appointment of a new coaching panel, with former Casey-South Melbourne coach, Brett Lewis, taking the reins, joined by assistants Tony Young and Chris Jarrett. Craig Lambden has returned as Junior Coaching co-ordinator, a huge role with 15 sides to oversee.
Junior registration will take place this Friday 22 August, between 5 to 8pm at the pavilion between ovals 2 and 3 at Casey Fields.
Senior pre-season training is taking place every Sunday, between 4 and 6pm, at Cranbourne Indoor Cricket Centre on Smethurst Street.
For senior enquiries call Shaun Petrie on 0438 632 482 or for juniors call Wendy Whittle on 0419 507 961. The club’s website also has more details.
