Picnic time for teddy bears

By BRIDGET COOK

IT was a cute and cuddly affair at Rangebank Preschool recently as children brought in their furry friends for a week of fun.
The preschool celebrated teddy bear week last month, with activities themed around their cuddly friends.
Rangebank Preschool director Barbara Ryan said the children brought in a teddy each day and they engaged in a variety of fun and educational activities.
“The children engaged in making and decorating teddy shaped cookies along with dressing, threading and decorating their own bear,” she said.
“We also had a teddy bears picnic and we ate all the cookie creations.
“Some children even made their own teddy house with the blocks and collage, while others enjoyed outside activities with them including going down the slide, playing in the sandpit and being wheelbarrowed around the yard.
“A fun time was had by all – children and furry friend.”
