THE State Government has ensured a Cranbourne group can continue to support local people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
South Eastern Metropolitan Region MP Inga Peulich announced last week that $5000 would be provided to the Cranbourne organisation People With Multiple Sclerosis.
The disability self-help group is a self-managed organisation where members meet regularly to manage and understand their disability through group support and discussion.
The money will be put towards general operating expenses, to purchase equipment, carry out maintenance and operate the activities of the groups.
“This is a fantastic result for People With Multiple Sclerosis and means people with a disability, their families and careers in our local community will be able to continue to support each other,” Mrs Peulich said.
“This is an incredibly positive investment from the Napthine Coalition Government, benefiting individuals seeking help to help each other within their own communities.”
