Greaze is the way we are feelin’

ROCKABILLY and hot rod fans can get their kustom culture fix in Springvale this weekend.
The GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival has been running in Brisbane for 15 years and is a weekend of cars, rockabilly music, fashion and pin-ups, vintage bikes, pinstripers, markets and more.
The first Melbourne event will feature live bands and DJs, market stalls, kustom art displays, tiki carving, fashion parades and more than 800 hot rods.
Headlining the weekend’s musical side is US performer Wayne ‘The Train’ Hancock, who returns to Australia for the first time since 2002.
Hancock will hit the stage on Saturday night with traditional rockabilly, hillbilly boogie and Western swing.
Eddie Clendening, also from the US, will perform on Sunday with an Australian rockabilly super-group featuring Pat Capocci on guitar and Jon Flynn on stand-up bass.
GreazeFest Melbourne will run from 10am to 10pm on Saturday 9 August and 9am to 5pm on Sunday 10 August at Sandown Racecourse, 591-659 Princes Highway, Springvale.
Tickets are $23 per day in advance, or $28 at the door.
All ages are welcome and kids aged under 15 years will receive free entry.
Visit www.greazefest.com for tickets or more information.
