Shotgun shopper

A HALLAM man has been charged with possessing a shotgun after police were alerted to the firearm found at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre last week.
Two men believed to be known to each other were involved in a scuffle on Friday 25 July in the shopping centre car park before the Hallam man fled the scene, leaving his car, a shotgun cartridge and a shotgun behind.
The 23-year-old Hallam man was later charged with possessing a firearm without a licence and was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court in September.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
