YOUNG people across Casey did not let the dreary weather dampen their spirits as they turned out to enjoy school holiday fun across the municipality.
Activities as part of Casey council’s teenage school holiday program where popular, with youths heading out to excursions to Galactic Circus, ice skating and Scienceworks.
On Friday 4 July, budding musicians hit the decks at the Cranbourne Youth Information Centre as part of a DJ workshop. The young people were guided by a professional DJ to mix their own CD.
The Casey Indoor Sports Centre was abuzz with excitement on Thursday 10 July for an sports tournament, as teenagers tried their hand at soccer, basketball and volleyball among other things.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne also hosted a range of school holidays activities over the two weeks.
On Monday 7 July, children dressed up in their best fairy or elf costume and went searching for the cheeky fungi fairies and elves in the Australian Garden.
News photographers STEWART CHAMBERS and DONNA OATES were out and about across Casey over the school holidays to capture all the action on camera.
