THREE men are facing charges after an altercation with each other during which a firearm was produced and one man was hospitalised.
Police said that about 4pm on Sunday, three men attended a house in Lawless Drive, Cranbourne North, where they became involved in an altercation with the occupant.
A firearm was produced but police have yet to ascertain who pulled out the gun.
The home’s occupant, a 43-year-old man, was then struck to the back of the head with the firearm, which caused a laceration.
The three men then left the premises and police attended the house.
The man was taken to the Dandenong Hospital by ambulance, where he was treated for the laceration and swelling to his head, arms and legs.
About the same time, two men visited Cranbourne Police Station and told police they had just had a firearm pulled on them.
The two men, a 24-year-old from Lynbrook and a 38-year-old from Langwarrin, were arrested at the station and are expected to be charged with assault related offences.
The Cranbourne man is facing firearm charges.
