POLICE are looking for a group of teens involved in a robbery, assault and deception of a Lynbrook man in Narre Warren last week.
The incident began about 11pm on Thursday 1 May when the Lynbrook man in his late 30s parked his car in the eastern end of the Narre Warren Railway Station car park.
He engaged in conversation with a group of youths before one of them started assaulting him by punching him in the head.
While he was being assaulted, some of the other youths entered his Toyota Prado and stole his belongings including a phone, wallet with credit cards and computer.
Police said the youths then ran off through the car park towards Webb Street.
The next day the stolen credit cards were used at a number of shops in the Narre Warren area.
Casey CIU Detective Senior Constable Michelle Chiang said while there was a larger group involved, there are four youths in particular officers would like to talk to in relation to the incident.
“We are looking to talk to two males of Sudanese appearance, a third male of Caucasian or southern European appearance and a Caucasian female – all aged in their mid-teens,” she said.
“The station is very busy, we believe someone must have seen the group hanging around the area.
“We have quite a bit of CCTV footage of them as well that we are sorting through, so we urge them to hand themselves in.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
