Poor parking zones

I’M HAPPY to see both the Liberal and Labor parties will make travel cheaper for commuters in Zone 2 next year.
But what’s the point of cheaper travel if we still can’t access the trains?
Berwick, Narre Warren and Hallam car parks are bursting.
Commuters are forced to park illegally on grass areas outside of the car parks because Denis Napthine has failed to provide improved parking for years now.
We are risking fines from the council because we have no other option but to park illegally.
The government continues to sit on its hands and fails to act when we need better connections and more car parks so we can get on the train in the first place.
John Conlon,
Berwick.
