USUALLY police are out taking criminals off our streets. But that was not the case in Casey last week, as one inquisitive man, allegedly in possession of drugs and stolen goods, literally came knocking at their door.
Police were executing a search warrant at a house in Arthur Phillip Drive, Endeavour Hills, on Wednesday 9 March where they located methamphetamine, two tasers, a fully-loaded handgun, cash and stolen goods.
The home’s occupant, a 32-year-old man, was charged with a number of drug, stolen goods and firearm offences.
But it was another man they arrested at the address who left police dumbfounded.
A Narre Warren man, 59, walked past three police cars and up to the front door of the house to ask officers what they were doing at the premises.
A bit suspicious of his behaviour, police searched the man and found him in possession of drugs, believed to be methamphetamine, and stolen goods.
The man was also arrested and charged.
