POLICE believe a fire which spread at a vacant block known as a youth hangout was started from an unextinguished campfire.
The CFA were called to vacant land along Arleon Crescent, Cranbourne, at about 8pm on Friday 21 March.
They were required to extinguish a fire which had spread to about eight by 10 metres.
Police said it was believed the fire was started from a campfire which was not extinguished and that the area was known to be a place where youths hang out.
