Futile burglary attempt

SEVERAL men stormed a Narre Warren house on Sunday morning and demanded for cash after producing a weapon.
About 9.30am, a group of men forced entry into a house along Rolstone Court while a man and woman, both 23 years old, were home.
Police said the men made demands for cash and produced a weapon, before getting into an altercation with the victims.
The two residents managed to escape from the house, forcing the offenders to leave empty-handed.
Police said anyone with information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
