COURTENAY Gardens Primary School has appointed its school captains to lead the student body in 2014.
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley visited the school last week to present badges to the school’s new captains, house captains and junior school council representatives at a special assembly.
Jaymi Muzzicato and Ayden Dahmes were welcomed as school captains and Shania Berryman and Jobe Bass vice-captains.
Ms Graley congratulated all those who took on leadership roles.
“It is always a great honour to be in a leadership position, whether it is at school, in the workplace or even in parliament,” she said.
“These terrific young people have been selected by their peers for the outstanding leadership qualities that they have shown, and I congratulate them.
“They are a fantastic group of students, and I have no doubt that they will continue to play important leadership roles within our community.
“We may even have a few future parliamentarians on our hands.”
