VALENTINE’S Day is sure to be blossoming in Hampton Park today with sales figures from last year revealing the suburb is home to the most generous gift givers.
Figures released from Woolworths show that the Hampton Park store sold the most flowers last year in the lead up to day of love.
Hampton Park had the highest sales of flowers, while the Queen Victoria Village store sold the most chocolates and confectionary.
Woolworths staff member Mark Bernard said the company was expecting huge sales again this year.
“We’re expecting to see sales of traditional Valentine’s Day gifts like flowers and chocolate soar as lovebirds flock to the shops to treat their special someone to gifts for the most romantic day of the year,” he said.
