Assault charge: witnesses sought

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault in Lynbrook last week, which left a woman with minor injuries.
A Noble Park man has since been charged following the incident, but police wish to speak to any witnesses they have not have spoken to already.
The alleged assault took place at the Lynbrook shopping centre on the morning of Friday 7 February.
The victim, a 24-year-old Dandenong North woman, received minor injuries.
On Saturday morning, Armed Crime Task Force detectives charged a 25-year-old Noble Park man over the incident.
He was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing injury along with breaching an intervention order.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Police believe the pair are known to each other.
Detectives are urging witnesses who have not already spoken with police to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
