Unwanted attention

DESPITE having celebrated a milestone 40th birthday recently, Endeavour Hills has hit the headlines again for all the wrong reasons (Iron bar bashing, Berwick News, 23 January).
Regarding this article, please note that there is no Brindle Court in Endeavour Hills, but there is a Bridle Court approximately one kilometre north-east of Georgette Crescent, where a much publicised home assault occurred last year.
As a long time resident of Endeavour Hills, I am annoyed that a minority criminal element is spoiling the amenity of the law-abiding majority.
Then again I wonder whether the extra media attention of late is really warranted. In last week’s article, CIU Detective Senior Constable Andrew Rodwell is quoted: “I’d say Endeavour Hills is one of the safer places”, presumbly within the City of Casey.
I’m not too sure who or what to believe any more.
Jill Dawson,
Endeavour Hills.
