ALKIRA Secondary College shone the spotlight on the achievements of the students throughout the year at its last assembly for 2013.
The school held its final assembly on Friday 13 December and presented a range of awards to students for various reasons, including interschool sporting achievements, principal’s award and artist of the month.
Aidan Jago, from the 40 Hour Famine, also presented a certificate to the school at the assembly for raising more than $2000 for the cause.
There were also a number of special guest from the Cranbourne Dandenong RSL sub-branch and RAEME Association, who presented awards to intermediate VCAL students for the number of projects they did to honour war veterans including writing biographies on them and hosting an ANZAC Day ceremony.
