AN UNLICENSED Cranbourne motorcyclist was detected traveling at more than 80 kilometres per hour over the speed limit on Saturday night.
Frankston Highway Patrol members say they detected him riding the 2007 Suzuki motorcycle travelling at 182km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Western Port Highway in Langwarrin about 11.10pm.
Police intercepted the vehicle and discovered the 23-year-old rider was unlicensed.
The motorcycle was immediately impounded for 30 days under the hoon legislation.
The Cranbourne man is expected to be charged on summons with various traffic related offences.
