Demons aren’t all bad says Santa

Mitchell Drury enjoyed last year's Melbourne Football Club's Christmas party at Casey Fields.

SANTA, elves and reindeers are usually the only characters associated with Christmas.
But it will be demons that take over Casey Fields next week for a festive event.
Melbourne Football Club (MFC) is hosting its free Christmas party on Monday 16 December and is inviting the community to come along.
At the event, people can watch the club train, meet the coaches, get an autograph from their favourite players and meet Santa Claus.
There’ll also be free giveaways, a sausage sizzle and a chance to sign-up for Deezone, the club’s new dedicated website for kids.
In support of Casey’s local sports coaches, the event will also include a coaching master class where the club’s coaches will provide an insight into coaching techniques, strategy, training drills and tips on how to be a better coach.
City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett said MFC was entrenched in the Casey community.
“The club trains regularly at Casey Fields and provides new activities, programs and initiatives to the community through the 30-year partnership which exists between the club and council,” he said.
“Come along, enjoy the magnificent sporting venue and activities and show your support for the red and the blue.”
The Christmas party will be held on Monday 16 December at Casey Fields from 10 to 11.30am.
