The best night out – foreshore

SET the festive season off with a bang at the Christmas on the Foreshore event in Tooradin this month.
Held by the Tooradin Foreshore Committee of Management, the 16th annual event attracts thousands of families each year to celebrate Christmas in style.
The highlight of the event, to be held on Friday 13 December, is a huge fireworks display at the end of the night, which usually goes off with a bang about 9.30pm.
There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained before then with with a number of performers to take to the main stage including the Tooradin Primary School choir, children’s entertainer Bethany Fisher, Jam Tarts Trio, Natasha Anderson, Jessica Jade and Will Maestro.
There will also be free face painting, a giant slide and other children’s rides.
The night would not be complete with a visit from Santa, who will be sure to put a smile of the children’s faces.
People can either bring their own food and drinks, but there will be food outlets run by local sporting clubs available to purchase dinner from.
Casey residents are being urged to come along and enjoy the fun, which will kick off at 6pm on Friday 13 December.
Entry is a gold coin donation, which goes towards the development of the foreshore.
