Tried to ram cops

POLICE are on the hunt for a man who attempted to ram an ambulance and police car in two separate incidents this week.
On Sunday night about 3.50am, police were called to Millswyn Avenue in Hampton Park in relation to a drug overdose incident, where the affected man was trying to steal a car.
Police demanded the man get of the car, but he did not comply and drove off through metal gates, narrowly avoiding two police members.
Police said the man drove at speed and narrowly avoided a head-on collision with an ambulance, forcing the paramedic to take evasive action.
Last night about 11.45pm, police attempted to intercept a dark green Ford AU Falcon, driven by the same man along Fleet Street, Narre Warren.
Police said the man drove onto the nature strip, then into the centre of road and was believed to have made an attempt to ram the police car.
The police officer was forced to take evasive action.
