A CROWD of 3500 got the ultimate trifecta at the City of Casey Tricodes night racing on Friday night.
A spectacular site under lights at the Cranbourne Racing Centre, the tricodes event sees thoroughbred, harness and greyhound races come together for one night of action-packed racing.
Cranbourne Turf club chief executive Neil Bainbridge said with all three codes coming together, it puts on such a wonderful and unique event.
“With 24 races in less than five hours, it’s arguably the busiest raceday in Australia,” he said.
“It’s truly something special when supporters of racing cheer the winners of races irrespective of which vide.
“It was extremely pleasing that the night ahead without any issues and its terrific the co-operative spirit that exists between the three codes to enable this event to occur.
“The true highlight of tricodes is that it showcases the wonderful facility that is the Cranbourne Racing Centre and the important role it plays in Victoria for the racing industry across all three codes.”
