Colour change for new market

By BRIDGET COOK

CASEY residents can shop up a storm and enjoy at day out with the family when Cranbourne hosts its first market.
The first Cranbourne Trackside Community Market and Fair will kick off at the racing centre tomorrow (Saturday) and will then be held weekly after that.
The first market will offer a huge range of stalls including gifts, arts and craft, jewellery, fresh produce, plants and flowers, bric-a-brac and a variety of food vendors.
There will also be plenty to get the whole family entertained with free face painting, prizes and giveaways, hot rod display, buskers and entertainers, kids’ rides, petting zoo, jumping castles and food taste testing.
Markets to Market managing director Graham Jackman, who is bringing the event to Cranbourne, said it would be by far the biggest market he has managed and would have a number of great elements.
“It will be ever changing, ever vibrant and community focussed,” he said.
“We are putting on a market that’s really second to none.
“Like a chameleon, we will be changing the flavour of the market from week to week.
“We hope the Cranbourne and wider Casey community embrace the event, get involved, enjoy it and use it as a way to promote themselves.”
The market will run from 8am to 2pm tomorrow (Saturday) at the Cranbourne Racing Centre, Grant Street.
