Spooky and kooky

By BRIDGET COOK

GHOSTS, ghouls and witches were out in force across Casey last week as children, and adults alike, celebrated Halloween.
Many people across the community got into the spirit of the celebration with kids as far of the eye could see donning their spookiest costumes to go trick or treating or attend the events on offer.
The Lynbrook Residents Association held its annual Halloween in the Park event, with families turning out dressed to impress to enjoy a barbecue together.
Cranbourne North resident Amanda Ellis goes all out each year to ensure children in her neighbourhood can enjoy the festivities.
Ms Ellis has been dressed up herself and her home for the past seven years for Halloween.
“It’s just a bit of fun and my kids and other kids in the neighbourhood enjoy it,” she said.
“I’ve got so many decorations and buy more each year, so I really go all out.
“It’s great seeing the enjoyment on the kids faces and I love frightening them as well – it’s what it is all about.”
