Phone stolen in armed robbery

POLICE are seeking information about an armed robbery at Merinda Park Railway Station during which a man was threatened with a knife and had his phone stolen.
About 7.40pm on Friday 4 October, a 21-year-old Narre Warren man got off a train at the station, crossed over the tracks and began walking along the footpath towards Thompsons Road.
Three men approached the victim and one of them grabbed him on the shoulder and produced a knife.
The group then demanded that he hand over his phone and threatened him further, police said.
After handing over his phone, the victim was kneed in the chest and the group left the area walking north towards Endeavour Drive.
One of the men was described as being about 18 years old, about 165cm tall with a slim build, short dark hair and wearing a dark hooded jumper.
A second person, a boy of about 13 years old, was described as being short with a slim build, tanned skin and wearing a bright red hooded jumper.
Anyone who may have witnessed the armed robbery or who has further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
