Families stay on for the fun

FAMILIES are being encouraged to join in the fun and excitement of the MRA Cranbourne GP Run on Saturday.
Not just for motorbike enthusiasts, the family friendly event is suitable for people of all ages with a range of activities on offer including workshops, rides, entertainment and market stalls.
City of Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon said the event attracted thousand of people each year and urged families to join in the fun.
“This popular event gets bigger and better every year, with an increased focus on family fun and entertainment,” she said.
There will be an array of entertainment on offer including interactive Kids’ Zones in Clydesdale Square and Lyall Street, face painting and a variety of activities for children of all ages including photos with Disney-Pixar’s Lightning McQueen.
The event will feature free interactive workshops including RoadSafe South East – an educational workshop on road safety by representatives from the Motorcycle Action Group.
Junkyard Studio with be running a hands-on workshop creating artwork from recycled materials and there will be a Sandwizard Workshop were kids can create pictures with sand.
Animals of Oz will be there with some Australian wildlife and the Paint Pop People with be running a painting activity for children.
Festivities will begin at 8.15am, with motorcycles to be waved off at 10am.
Festivities will continue after the riders have left with fun to be had until noon.
