THE Preps at Tooradin Primary School celebrated a once-in-a-lifetime milestone on Tuesday.
The babies of the school recognised 100 days at primary school on 6 August via a day full of celebrations.
Each student brought in a collection of 100 things they have counted with their family, and presented the items to the rest of the class.
The collections varied in range, and included coins, gumnuts, buttons, photos, cookies and more.
Students also created a 100 days of school flag, read stories and sung songs which centred around the theme for the day.
Early years co-ordinator from the school Rachel Davies said ’the (students) were thrilled to discover that the Grade 5/6 students had decorated the prep room with 100 days of school bunting they had made.’
Ms Davies said all of the youngsters were excited for the school years ahead.
“They are now walking about how many more days of school there are to come,” she said.
“We thought it wise not to start counting that far ahead.”
“Here is hoping for all the hundreds of days ahead at school to be as full of learning, excitement and discovery as it has been so far,”
