High time for a hug

The expression on Chris Hensby’s face, and a congratulatory hug for team-mate Chris Fortnam, confirmed that Pearcedale had retained local bragging rights over a brave Devon Meadows on Saturday.
The Nepean league clash was supposed to be a walk in the park for the finals bound Dales, but it took a late sealer from Fortnam to finally shake off their dogged opponents, who sit second last on the ladder.
The local-derby was played with passion and it’s a quality that will shine through over the coming weeks as leagues around the region head into the frenzy of finals football. 103033 Picture: STEWART CHAMBERS
