Resident attacked and robbed

Police would like to speak to this man in relation to an assault and theft in Cranbourne this week.

POLICE have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to an assault and theft in Cranbourne on Tuesday.
About 1.45am, a resident of a house in Elizabeth Street has entered his garage and then opened a door to where a larger vehicle was parked outside.
The resident saw a man standing on a bin attempting to grab equipment from the top of the vehicle.
Police said the offender then fell off then bin and was challenged by the resident, however he was struck to the side of the head by a second man.
The two men then left the area with a quantity of cash taken from the victim’s wallet on the ground.
The first man is believed to be aged between 14 and18 years of age and Caucasian.
Detectives from Casey Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the matter and want to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area.
