A GROUP of Lyndhurst Primary School children got their hands dirty for some school holiday fun this week.
The school had a curriculum day on Monday before kicking off term-three with around 25 students attending the out-of-school-hours care program.
Staff members from Bunnings Cranbourne attended the program to run a planting activity with the young students.
The children got to decorate terracotta pots and then plant them with flowers and herbs to take home.
The programs nominated supervisor Marina Walallawita said the activity was enjoyed by all the students.
“The children had a really good time and it was something different for them” she said.
“They took them (decorate terracotta pots) home and were very happy to show off their creations.
“I got some great comments from parents afterwards as well.
“We are looking forward to doing something else with Bunnings in the future.”
