A GROUP of Cranbourne Secondary students hosted an event for their younger pupils to celebrate multiculturalism.
The school’s year-12 VCAL class arranged an International Day on Thursday 30 May for the year-seven students as part of their studies which required them to plan and organise an event.
Students Stephanie Randell and Atlanta Biggadike said the VCAL students planned a morning of multicultural performances.
“Throughout the day we want the year sevens to appreciate our land and experience different cultures and how amazing they are,” Stephanie said.
Atlanta said they wanted the younger students to get a better understanding of different cultures.
“We hope the year sevens appreciated what multiculturalism has brought to Australia and learnt something new,” she said.
