Woman in hospital after home attack

AN elderly woman is fighting for her life after an aggravated burglary in Endeavour Hills on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to a residential address in Georgette Crescent around 3.30pm.
It is believed a man entered the address and assaulted the 73-year-old woman occupant, possibly with a sharp object, before leaving the scene.
The woman received injuries to her neck and was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police have been told that the man was Caucasian, aged in his 40s and wearing a high visibility top.
Detectives from Casey Crime Investigation Unit are still trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
