TURNINGPOINT Family Church has more than one reason to celebrate last month.
On Sunday 10 March, the Cranbourne Church held a gathering to celebrate its 23rd birthday and 20 years of ministering in Cranbourne for senior pastors Phil and Norma Cayzer.
Pastor Mike Cronin, from the founding church South Eastern Christian Centre, was invited as the guest speaker to share a message encouraging TurningPoint to move forward.
City of Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon and councillor Geoff Ablett also attended the event and presented a certificate of appreciation to the church for 23 years of service to the community.
Vicki Oliver, from TurningPoint Church, said members young and old came to the celebration.
“The guests were ushered out for a special tour of the 21-acre property which included a viewing of Lighthouse Christian College School and the new classrooms being contracted, the recently opened childcare centre, community gardens, TurningPoint Support Centre and the memorial trees planted in honour of those who have been a part of TurningPoint Church,” she said.
“The tour ended with a celebration luncheon.
“Celebrations continued throughout the evening with a discussion panel that featured TurningPoint’s senior leaders.
“This was followed by a musical performance by Eddie James and his two daughters, Samantha and Simone.
“Supper was served to close the eventful day.”
