Strong field for Lyndhurst poll

LYNDHURST voters will have eight candidates to choose from at the 27 April by-election.
Former Labor MP Tim Holding resigned as the seat’s representative in February.
Vying to replace him, in ballot paper order, are Martin Leahy from the Sex Party, Green Nina Springle, Hung Vo, Bobby Singh, Family First’s Stephen Nowland, David Linaker, the ALP’s Martin Pakula and Geraldine Gonsalvez for the Democratic Labor Party.
Voting is compulsory for everyone enrolled to vote in the Lyndhurst district.
Early voting centres are open 8.30am to 6pm weekdays from 2 April to 26 April including Anzac Day, 9am to 2pm on 20 April, and 8.30am to 8pm on 24 April.
They’re at Shop 2-3, 31-32 Douglas Street, Noble Park, and Shop 68, 166 Somerville Road, Hampton Park.
Those unable to vote early or on election day can apply for a postal vote with a form available from any post office in Lyndhurst, vec.vic.gov.au or 9548 0223.
