Ode to cricket

TEACHERS at St Peter’s College have regained the bragging rights to the Mitch Rabot Cricket Shield.
The annual staff versus students cricket match was help on Monday 25 March, with the teacher team taking out the title.
Now in its 14th year, the twenty20 match is named after retired, long serving teacher and cricket enthusiast Mitch Rabot.
Mr Rabot returns to the college to umpire and write the match report each year.
“I feel humbly privileged and honoured to be involved in a great cricketing tradition at St Peter’s College,” he said.
Captain of the staff team, Justin De Goldi, said the game was played in good spirits.
“We look forward to it every year,” he said.
“It’s a chance for staff and students to get together outside of the classroom.”
