CRANBOURNE Primary School took an imaginary trip to Indonesia last week to learn all about the country.
The school held its annual Indonesian Day on Friday where the whole school community was involved.
Students participated in various cultural workshops in the morning, followed by a cultural performance by the students in the afternoon.
Students also had the opportunity to participate in various Indonesian activities, taste Indonesian food, dress up in Indonesian costumes and engage in dance and musical performances.
Indonesian Day coordinator Mary Chen said the students enjoyed doing all the activities especially sampling the fried rice and playing the musical instruments.
“This is a yearly cultural event that allows students, teachers and parents to participate in celebrating the cultural diversity that exists in our school community and also to become more aware of the cultural diversity that exists in our community,” she said.
