Carnival’s a hit with the kids

IT WAS a fun-filled day at Akoonah Park on Saturday when children and their parents flocked to the annual Casey Kids Carnival.
The free event featured an array of young talent and specialised entertainers.
Big hits included Po from Kung Phu Panda 2, the Buzzniks, the Luigi Zucchini – Magic Show, the snake handler and more.
Performers including the Berwick Youth Choir, Pearcedale Primary School Singing Choir, Casey Concert Training Band, Berwick Calisthenics Club and the City of Casey Pipe band also entertained the crowd from 10am until 3.45pm.
Attendees also enjoyed workshops, kids’ activities, a native Australian animal farm and reptile zoo, along with animals from the City of Casey’s very own Myuna Farm.
