CLYDE Primary School celebrated the appointment of its student leaders for the year ahead last week.
The school held its student leadership badge ceremony on Friday, where the school captains were presented with their badges in front students, teachers and their families.
LaTrobe MP Laura Smyth presented school captains Nici Cairney and Chris Sujob and vice-captains Paige Dabb and Charlie Ratten with their badges.
Ms Smyth also spoke to the students about leadership during her visit.
Principal Kerry Griffin said each year, Year 6 students were given leadership positions within the school.
“This helps to ensure that the students at Clyde Primary School have the opportunity to have their say about important issues happening in the school,” she said.
“They also represent the school at special events like the upcoming Anzac Day and sporting events.”
