A CLYDE farmer got his 15 minutes of fame this week when he went from farm time to prime time on Channel 7’s top-rating My Kitchen Rules (MKR).
Fifth generation Vegie grower Darren Corrigan, from Corrigan’s Produce Farms, was selected to appear on behalf of Coles in content specifically created for MKR due to his company’s long-standing partnership with Coles, which sponsors the show.
Mr Corrigan was one of six Coles suppliers across Australia to be selected to appear in the series of content pieces and for his TV appearance, he was filmed working on the farm and carrying a tray of leeks.
Mr Corrigan said he was proud to have been chosen on behalf of Coles to appear on MKR and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
“I also particularly enjoyed meeting the other growers who were selected across Australia,” he said.
“I tend to like to do my work and have a low profile so this was something different.
“I didn’t realise how much work goes into a program such as My Kitchen Rules and we’re looking forward to seeing it on air.”
Coles fresh produce category manager Gavin Todd said Mr Corrigan and his family business were nominated by Coles because of their strong work ethic and quality product.
