Missing Rose breaks hearts

A SKYE family has been left heartbroken after the disappearance of their pet galah.
Rose went missing from the Kelly family farm on the corner of Wedge and Taylors roads in Skye on 7 February.
Owner Joan Kelly said the bird was a gift from her children in March 2011, and she has raised her from a baby.
“I feel devastated and heartbroken,” Ms Kelly said.
The Kelly family is extremely worried for the safety of their pet, which answers to a whistle and can be recognised by a band which she wears on her right foot.
“We are very worried about her safety as she has never had to feed or fend for herself,” Ms Kelly said.
“To get her back would mean everything to me, she is my little buddy.”
