Tapping input of residents

CITY of Casey residents still have time to have their say on the Lynbrook Integrated Community Centre.
Set to be constructed on the corner of Harris Street and Lynbrook Boulevard, the council is inviting local residents to put forward their ideas on its shaping and design.
Many local groups, communities and organisations have already had their say, but the City of Casey Council is encouraging those who haven’t to do so.
Mayor Amanda Stapledon said the City of Casey was working hard towards creating the new community centre for Lynbrook.
“The centre will provide valuable new space within this growing community and will complement the existing facilities, services and shopping precinct to make Lynbrook an even better place to live,” Cr Stapledon said.
“In order to deliver what the area needs, council continues to seek community feedback to tell us what they think should be part of the new multipurpose centre.”
A number of community workshops were held late in 2012, with feedback from these set to be displayed in two Lynbrook locations in February this year.
The opportunity to have your say will be given again at a session on Saturday 16 February, where a council officer will be available to discuss the project.
There will be two separate locations for these workshops.
Lynbrook Family and Children’s Centre, 25 River Redgum Place, Lynbrook, between Monday 11 February and Friday 15 February
The next location is outside Coles, 75 Lynbrook Boulevard, Lynbrook, Saturday 16 February from 10am until 1pm.
Council is contributing 3.735 million dollars towards the facility and is excited to acknowledge the contribution of the State Government, which has contributed 765,000.
