FIRST day jitters and excitement was abuzz across Casey this week as thousands of Prep students has their first day of school.
Bags packed to the brim and dressed in new and over-sized school uniforms, many students smiled excitedly as they walked into the classroom for the first time in anticipation of the adventure ahead.
Tooradin Primary School Prep teacher Rachel Davis when the Preps arrived yesterday they were ready to join in reading, writing, singing, counting, playing, sharing and exploring and it was only their first day.
“The Preps arrived to begin their first step on a learning path that will lay the foundation for future learning and encourage their natural curiosity and creativity,” she said.
“It is always exciting to share in the joy of each Prep child’s first day of school and to help them grow and learn in this important year.
“Teaching our new Prep students is a tremendous privilege and challenge as we strive to encourage each child to develop a love of learning and to do their best in everything they experience.
“The first day of school is remembered for years to come and each child will have many memories to share with their anxious mum’s and dad’s at the end of the day.”
