Police seek witness

POLICE are seeking to identify the driver of a white van who may hold the key to solving an aggravated burglary in Cranbourne last week.
Two men forced their way into a house in David Street.on Monday 13 August at about 5pm.
Police said the men smashed their way through the front door then proceeded to damage property and inside walls of the home.
A 28-year-old man was serious assaulted inside the house and sustained head and facial injuries. He was taken to The Alfred hospital by an ambulance.
A second victim ran from the house and sought the assistance of the driver of a white “Telstra type” van, where he sheltered until the attackers had left.
Police are now appealing for the driver of the white van to contact them.
A 27-year-old man from Cranbourne has been charged and remanded in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
