CRANBOURNE Cavaliers women battle for top spot and bragging rights heading into finals this weekend as they square off against Coburg at home on Saturday night.
With the teams level on 12 wins each, the victor takes top spot before the finals kick off and Cranbourne made their intentions clear this round as they easily dealt with Western Port, beating them comfortably 84-59.
Renae Mokrzycki, in one of her last matches for the Cavaliers before heading to the United States for her college debut, continued her All Star season with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Jade Foot (17 points), Amy McFarlane (13 points) and Alex Keates (11 points, nine rebounds) also dominated the clash.
Cranbourne clashes with Coburg at 8.30pm on Saturday.
The senior men took a 13-point loss to Maccabi on Saturday night, with the only seven Cavaliers available doing their all, despite battling against the Warriors.
Bevan Camilleri led for Cranbourne with 19 points, while Dylan Wayman (14) and Michael Troyahn (12) were also among the best.
In their last match of the season, Cranbourne faces Horsham away on Saturday night.
The Youth Championship Men made their finals intentions clear as they resoundingly defeated Warrandyte, 80-57.
Cranbourne coach Luke Sunderland shared the minutes around with Matt Walker (19 points, 15 rebounds) the best statistically off only 25 minutes.
The YCS Men face McKinnon at 6.30pm in their final home and away season match.
