POLICE brought down a major drug syndicate on Tuesday, after several search warrants were executed at residential addresses in Casey.
Illicit drugs, firearms and significant amount of cash were seized after police raided properties across Melbourne, including four in Casey.
Houses were raided in Frederick Rise Narre Warren, Dewpoint Crescent Hampton Park, Normanby Street Cranbourne, Torney Street Cranbourne East and Beach Road Mordialloc.
Detectives located more than 2kg of amphetamines, a semi-automatic firearm, ammunition, a large amount of cash and a hydroponic cannabis crop.
Investigators from The Echo, Drug and Purana Taskforces, along with the Special Operations Group, Australian Federal Police, Australian Customs and Border Protection Service and local officers from within the regions were involved.
They executed the search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation relating to alleged drug offences.
Four men had been charged with trafficking and possessing a drug of dependence, possessing materials, substances, documents or equipment for trafficking a drug of dependence, firearms offences and possessing proceeds of crime.
An Officer man, 29, believed to be a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, a Narre Warren man, 29, a Mordialloc man, 40, and a Hampton Park man, 27, have been remanded in custody and were expected to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court this week.
A Cranbourne East man, 25, a Hampton Park man, 34, and a Hampton Park man, 26, were also arrested.
The Cranbourne East man was charged with possession of drug of dependence and bailed and the two Hampton Park men have been released pending further enquiries.
